Porta Romana is a British design studio established in 1988 with the purpose of creating original and high-quality items for the interiors decoration market. The brand has become iconic and its works can be found in homes, hotels, movie sets, and yachts around the world. The eclectic Porta Romana style continues to evolve, creating yearly collections that are welcomed around the world. The collections feature new tendencies and finishes, from aged plaster to marine shells’ patina, and even very intricate techniques that include 16 different shades of gold, utilizing traditional techniques along with innovations in craftsmanship to create demanding and challenging pieces. The in-house artisans give their best to produce collections that are both beautiful and enduring. Currently, Porta Romana offers 10 luxurious collections. Some of the most sought after are:
*Bohème: Features a mixture of richness in both color and pattern, balanced by the almost monastic simplicity of white plasterwork. Materials include forged and patinated metal, hand-glazed ceramic, wrapped cane and woven wicker.
*Caledonia: Inspired on the Scottish Highlands, it features a color palette of coal, green, and rust.
*Cosmos: Recreates harmonious systems of celestial bodies in constant transformation, like the continuous transformation of the moon as it goes through its eternal phases.
*Elemental: Inspired by mother nature, this collection features patterns and structures like flowing water, hexagons, molten lava, and precious gems.
*Nomad: This is a timeless collection of noble materials like clay, glass, metal, and wood.
*Photon: A collection of lighting and furniture with designs that seem to be in constant motion, following random lines to create a luminous atmosphere.
*Stillness: Beautiful architectural silhouettes mingle with organic forms in harmonious unity. Textures featured are ceramic, glass, and stone.
