Donghia

Angelo Donghia, an Italian-American designer, graduated from the Parsons School of Design in New York City. He started his career with the renowned firm Yale Burge Interiors. In 1966 Mr. Donghia designed the Opera Club at the Metropolitan Opera House at Lincoln Center which, with silver foil ceilings, blue chandeliers and black upholstery, was met with great acclaim. He was soon made a partner of the design firm, then renamed Burge-Donghia. He later founded Donghia Associates in 1972 as an interior design company for the residential and hospitality markets. In 1976 the brand presented its furniture line and in 1980 the company became Donghia Textiles, offering fabrics and wallcoverings. Kravet purchased the company in 2019 and has continued offering products that are consistent with Mr. Donghia’s decorative style, characterized by simplicity of lines, high-quality materials, and diverse textures. At Inside Stores, we carry the complete collection of Donghia fabric, wallpaper and furniture.  Please contact us for pricing or product information. Request a quote.

Accessories range from chandeliers and lamps to mirrors and vessels, all handmade by Venetian craftsmen on the island of Murano, Italy.
