Samuel Kravet, the founder of Kravet Fabrics, emigrated from Russia to the United States in 1903. He started working as a tailor in New York and later began creating decorative trimmings for his clients’ houses, contributing in this way to the development of the interior design industry. In 1923, with the aid of his sons, he started offering decorative fabrics. The business was so successful that the company began exporting in 1965 and establishing showrooms nationwide in 1970.

How is Kravet Smart Fabric Sold?

Kravet Fabric is sold by the yard.  There is a minimum order of 2 yards per pattern.  The fabric is usually 54” wide. and comes in one continuous piece for the yardage required.
